Audacity is free, open source audio software that allows for multi-track recording and editing. You can import audio files, record vocals and instruments using USB devices like microphones and turntables. Your projects exported as MP3s to be uploaded to sites like Soundcloud. There are also good tutorials for Audacity on YouTube.


BEATS & INSTRUMENTALS is a great website for up-and-coming rappers, singers and musicians — all beats posted on their site are royalty free! You can use them for your projects, make money with them, and never pay a licensing fee or royalty. Awesome!
